When I first moved to Colorado Springs I didn't have enough money to get the perfect home theater system, so I had a home theater designer and dear friend of mine from Nevada set me up with some Altec Lansing towers and other components to get me started.

Later, when the money was not a problem, I found Brandon at 3Dz Audio right here in Colorado Springs. He asked about every detail of my listening preferences to find out exactly what I wanted and designed a system for me. When I told my friend in Nevada what Brandon had in mind, he was totally impressed at the thought and expertise he put into his work and admitted I had found an excellent technician. In fact, my friend said I didn't need him anymore. He lost thousands of dollars of business that way, but it made me feel confident that Brandon really knows his stuff.

Since then I have purchased from Brandon over and over again. He has given service beyond my wildest dreams, matching his custom towers and subwoofers to my Altec Lansing full range towers to develop a complete theater package in my basement. He has made many adjustments as needed to finish out the whole package to perfection.

When I was ready to spend a little money and get some speakers with real quality, I started by looking at all the major sound stores just like everyone else. But most of the stuff I saw was either too expensive, too huge, or didn't do the job. And everywhere I went I saw the same few brands. I wanted something small to fit in our room that still did justice to our music because that's a big part of our life.

When we met Brandon through a friend, I heard his Collussus Subtower and it blew us away. But that was just too big for our space. So Brandon designed some full-range towers for us in just the right size. They give out the best sound I heard in all the stores, no matter what the expense. Larger and more expensive is not always better in my book, and Brandon proves the point. He puts a tremendous amount of time and pride into his work and the results were exactly what we wanted.

Big speaker companies are designed to push out the quantity. You can get a larger system, but what good is a 15" woofer if it's distorted or the power isn't matched up properly? A small custom shop like 3Dz Audio handmakes every speaker for the best quality and puts a lot of pride into their work. It really shows.

When it comes to my music, I just hate to compromise. With Brandon and 3Dz Audio I got the quality I wanted, the price I wanted, the size I wanted, and the cherry finish I wanted. If you are tired of looking around and not finding what you want, get your speakers custom made. And speakers are where you should spend your money first. Without good speakers, even the top amps can't produce decent music. Personally I can do without paying top prices for a name brand on a sticker. I prefer quality wherever I can find it at a reasonable price.

I am extremely impressed with the quality of work he does and the service he provides. I would recommend Brandon and 3Dz Audio to anyone in a second. In fact, I am working with Brandon again to design a complete home theater system for downstairs.

Having been out of the high end audio market for several years, I was anxious and excited to get back into it - now that the kids were a bit older and I could spend more time with it. The idea of a home theater system with theater-like sound was interesting and appealing but I knew nothing about it. I met Brandon through a work colleague and was given a personal demo of the Colossus tower speakers connected to a movie DVD. The only word that came to mind when I first heard them was "Unbelievable!" I had no idea that movies at home could sound as good or better than at a theater. I immediately bought a pair of the Colossus Towers as well as a matched set of surrounds and center speaker. My house is now the gathering place for friends far and wide to come and watch home theater.

I believe that the key to the quality of these speakers is the dedication, knowledge, technical expertise and craftsmanship that Brandon Patten puts into the design and construction of these speakers. The quality of the sound is self evident, but if you look closely at the construction of the case, you'll see incredible attention to detail. These speakers are simply the best.
